Origins and ongoing work

About this initiative

Semantic Control for Robotics began with Deployable Decision-Making: Embracing Semantics for Robotic Safety in Everyday Scenarios (SSDM), a project supported through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) under grant agreement No. 101155035. Dr. SiQi Zhou was the MSCA researcher, hosted by Prof. Angela P. Schoellig at the Technical University of Munich.

SSDM aimed to connect semantic perception with safe action by developing mathematical foundations and algorithmic tools that help robots make intelligent, safety-aware decisions in real-world environments.

Building on that foundation, this website now serves as an evolving collection of research on semantic control, safe robot decision-making, and related topics. We periodically update it with new publications, projects, and collaborators, including work beyond the original MSCA-funded action.
